The leaves are starting to change, the breeze is a little fresher and our morning coffee orders are becoming more and more necessary, the colder months are most definitely upon us.
I for one am not a huge fan of this time of year. However, I am a damn big fan of winter fashion!
What’s not to love about colors, textures, and layering…. all without looking like the Michelin man!
Honest truth, the basis off all good winter fashion is a good pair of boots. Not only do they get you from A to B without ruining your latest pedi with frost bite and mud but they can turn almost any clothing item into the ultimate transeasonal piece.
This season your boots should be all about the detailing, we are spoilt for choice here at Monalisa with prints, zippers, buckles, plates and more.
The Leopard print boot will be one trend you wont be able to miss. These boots are not for the faint hearted initially but can be styled down to suit everyone’s needs. Think of these boots like a statement necklace – let them do the talking.
The thick block heel we have grown to love and depend on for those long days and wine infused nights is getting a winter makeover. These boots may seem basic but they will be your saviors. Understated enough to go with all of your favorite pieces but, can still hold their own in your shoe collection. These ones wont get pushed to the back with the ‘boring shoes’ they will stay center stage!
Throughout our wardrobes we all have those pieces that we reinvent from season to season. Your boots should be no exception to this unspoken rule; this is where the cut out boot comes in. These boots are perfect for summer festivals and festivities but can still be great winter warmers.
With so many great shoe labels instore and all the boot styles you can imagine, they will literally be walking in and out! This is only the first autumn/winter drop and we are lusting with anticipation as to what’s to come, keep your eyes peeled so your not left out in the cold.
On that note we’re off to Expedia fantasy trips to Aspen and really get into the winter spirit.
